The 17 acre Bordeaux vineyard of Chateau des Graviers is located in the Arsac region of Margaux and has been in the Dufourg-Landry family for generations. Christophe Landry is the fifth generation winemaker and has been making wines since the mid-nineties.

Some of the adjacent parcels are Grands Crus Classes such as Chateau Issan, Rauzan-Ségla, Prieuré-Lichine and Marojallia. The soil dates back to the Quaternary and is made of gravel from the Pyrennees and of clay from the Garonne river bed.

Christophe purchased new plots to create Clos Dufourg, a small cru of 11 acres from several types of terroir planted with the five Bordeaux red grape varieties - Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Carmenère . 2019 is the first vintage produced.  The subsequent construction of a new cellar made of stacked straw allows him to fully experiment with various winemaking and aging methods.

"We would like that you can feel in our bottle the purity and delicacy offered by our soil. For that we use only what nature offers us around our vineyard." - Christophe Landry
