Based in Fougères sur Bièvre, Domaine de Veilloux is a family owned estate of 50 acres of vineyards. The story of the estate is very old as it used to belong the Château de Fougères (18th century). The domaine wasn't only producing wine at the beginning of its existence but was more oriented towards poly culture (cereals, cattle, etc.) and slowly expanded throughout the years.

Sylviane and Michel Quenioux purchased this family owned and operated domaine in 1994, which was certified organic in 1998. TThe estate is managed according to natural principles (certified organic by Ecocert) with a great care of the various local grape varieties (Menu Pineau, Sauvignon Blanc and Gamay). The soils are mainly made of clay but with slight differences according to the plot considered (clay with sand or clay with flint). The winemaking is respectful of the fruit and the ageing is usually long, thus producing complex wines that truly reflect the terroir of the Cheverny appellation.
