Domaine Philippe Robert et Fils has been rooted in the Côte de Nuits for four generations, driven by a passion for terroir and thoughtful winemaking. Founded in 1950 by Michel and Madeleine Robert, the estate grew once they began harvesting and bottling entirely themselves.

Their son Philippe took over in the 1990s, maintaining the family’s focus on expressing each plot’s identity. In 2015, his son Johann joined after training at the École Viticole de Beaune. Today, they farm just over 22 acres across Fixin, Gevrey-Chambertin, and Marsannay.

The domaine practices responsible farming, holds HVE3 certification, and has long avoided chemical treatments—prioritizing authenticity, environmental respect, and harmony with nature. In the cellar, winemaking remains traditional: a cool pre-fermentation soak for the reds, gentle extraction tailored to each vintage, and minimal new oak, mainly from Tonnellerie Rousseau.
